Isaiah 61:3
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek, he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.
Matthew 5:14-16
Ye are the light of the world a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel but on a candle stick and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven.
We let our light shine so that everyone will praise our heavenly father it is about giving God the glory and the praise he deserves from the gifts he has given us.
As you continue to consider your own brokenness seek to hear from God ask him for his spirit to wash over you.
- What gifts has God given you?
- What is keeping you from letting your roots grow in God to use your gifts in the Kingdom and through out the world to capture the lost souls?
- Have you hidden your gifts unknowingly or knowingly due to fear, rejection, failure or uncertainty?
- What is the one thing you can do to come out of the shadows and let the light of Christ shine through you today.
